Privacy Policy

GENUONE Sciences Inc. (hereinafter “the company”) respects customers’ personal information and follows the Personal Information Protection Act and related laws.
Through the Personal Information Handling Policy, the company will inform customers of the ways in and purposes for which customers’ provided personal information is used, and about the precautions that are taken to protect personal information. If this Personal Information Handling Policy is to be changed, the company will notify customers via the website’s notice board (or via individual communication).

As stated by Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, the company has established and made public the Personal Information Handling Policy as follows in order to protect personal information and its owners as well as handle related problems quickly and smoothly.

Article 1. Collected personal information
The company collects the following types of personal information for membership registration, consultation, service application, etc.
① Collected information: affiliation, email address, contact
② Personal information collection method: Homepage (customer inquiry board)

Article 2. Purpose and use of collected personal information
The company utilizes the collected personal information for the following purposes.
① Answers to inquiries about products
② Answers to inquiries about business and investment opportunities
Answers to inquiries about recruitment
Answers to other inquiries

Article 3. Term of possession and use of personal information
The company destroys without exception or delay the information in question after its purpose for collection and use has been fulfilled.

Article 4. Personal information destruction procedure and method
The company’s principle is to destroy collected information after its purpose for collection and use has been fulfilled. The destruction procedure and method are as follows.
① Destruction process: The information that the member has entered via the inquiry board will be moved to a separate database (a separate file, if it was submitted as a physical document) after its purpose is fulfilled. It is then stored for a certain period for information protection reasons given by internal regulations and other related laws (see possession and use period) and destroyed later.
② Personal information moved to a separate database is not used in any way other than for legal purposes.

Article 5. Information subjects and legal proxies’ rights, responsibilities, and their exercise method
① Information subjects may exercise their right to the company, such as requesting to browse, correct, delete, and stop the processing of personal information, whenever they wish.
② Rights protected by Article 1 may be exercised against the company via document, email, FAX, etc., according to the Personal Information Protection Act’s Article 41, Paragraph 1. The company will act on it without delay.
③ Rights protected by Article 1 may be exercised by a proxy, such as the information subject’s legal proxy or other entrusted proxies. In this case, a power of attorney in the Personal Information Protection Act’s execution regulations’ 11th form must be submitted.
④ Requests to browse and stop the processing of personal information according to information subject’s rights may be restricted by the Personal Information Protection Act’s Article 35, Paragraph 5 and Article 37, Paragraph 2.
⑤ If an item of personal information is specified as for collection in a different law, requests to correct or delete that certain personal information cannot be made.
⑥ The company will verify whether requests to browse, correct, delete, and stop processing made according to information subject’s rights are in fact made by the information subject himself/herself or a legal proxy.

Article 6. Personal information safety security measures
The company is taking the following measures to secure the safety of personal information.
① Management measures: Establishment and enforcement of internal management plans, regular employee training, etc.
② Technological measures: Control of access to the personal information processing system, installment of access restriction system, installment of security program ③ Physical measures: Restriction of access to the computer room, document storage room, etc.

Article 7. Installment, operation, and rejection of automatic personal information collection device
The company does not use “cookies” that save and frequently summon information subjects’ access information.

Article 8. Division handling personal information protection and related issues
The company operates a division in charge of and responsible for all operations on personal information processing, as well as information subjects’ complaints related to personal information processing and related damage relief. Information subjects may file all complaints about the company’s personal information protection to this division responsible for personal information. The company will quickly and sufficiently answer information subjects’ complaints.
